General Internship

At the Pan African Community Development Initiative, interns get to work on real time projects, along with the executive team. As a laid back organization, we foster creativity, initiative, wit, and a will to learn. Since we are still in the early stages of our growth, our interns get to play a vital role in our development, working on projects in areas such as Marketing, Analytics, Fundraising, Operations and Technology among others.

Requirements

  • College students or college grads preferred

  • Knowledge of analytics platform such as Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics (preferred, but not required)

  • Ability to perform well in a team environment

  • Expertise in Google Apps, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Canva, Squarespace  (a plus, not required)

  • A will to learn

  • A genuine desire to help the community meets its financial needs

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

  • Working on and maintaining our document database

  • Maintaining and updating our website when needed

  • Working on organizing and outreach campaigns

  • Cold-calling and cold-emailing potential partners and other nonprofits

  • Ensuring smooth transition of files between team members (Google Apps expertise will help)

  • Managing and updating our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)

  • Weekly readings and researching, which you will have to report on to your supervisor
